Welcome
to Origami Mitra !
Paper. A non-entity. Enter origami. Paper
takes form.
That, in simple words, is the gist of the
scope of origami. An art that gives life
to paper and imagination, origami is a venerated
thought. A child-like pleasure and yet not
childish. Origami has become most popular
and has made the most progress in the last
half century. Believed to have its roots in ancient Japanese culture, Origami is much more widespread today.
Besides the obvious benefit of satisfying the creative urge, Origami has many other uses as well. It not only enhances concentration and creativity, folding paper can also help you acquire subtle skills like patience and spatial visualisation. Mathematicians have
proved the greatest theorems using origami
and its artistes have sculpted the closest
likenesses from nature. Practising Origami enhances motor skills and has a soothing effect on the mind. For this reason, it has acquired relevance in places like special schools, hospitals, and even prisons!
So flexible
so simple
so humble.
We are proud to be origamists. And to capture
the spirit of origami in one line, we would
just say: "Look, what two hands and
paper can do!"
